Lower School
I am delighted to welcome you to the Lower School section of Association International School. Lower primary is the Genesis of formal education and I hope reading this will bring you closer
to the school.
Our goal is to prepare our students for ongoing opportunities and challenges the future will hold for them as future leaders. In the Lower School, everyone feels welcome and valued.
It is a place where achievement is expected and celebrated. We value intellectual curiosity, and are committed to the education of our students through the development of empathy, ethical behaviour, integrity, discipline and service, based on a firm foundation of Christian values.
All members of the Lower School adhere to the Honor Code and conduct themselves in a trustworthy manner that will further the best interest of the school, their class and any team or club to which they belong. Students are expected to understand and live by standards of honorable behaviour, which are essentially a matter of attitude and spirit rather than a system of rules and regulations.
The Lower School has two teachers (a lead teacher and an assistant teacher) in a homeroom who handle all core subjects. Music, PE, Drama, Art, Library, French, Spanish, and ICT are taught by specialists. We have extremely dedicated and supportive staff, who work very hard to provide the best opportunities for all our pupils in a safe and happy school environment. They are dedicated to challenging, engaging, and nurturing students of different abilities and with different learning styles in the Lower School. We aim to build the skills, knowledge and positive attitudes necessary to help all our students become intelligent and compassionate learners, leaders and ambassadors of Christ for the Glory of God.
We value our parents and the wider community and maintain an open and welcoming environment where we can work in partnership for the benefit of our students. Students in the Lower School are enthusiastically engaged in their learning, supported by well-trained and caring teachers who work in partnership with parents to ensure the very best opportunities for every student.
The Lower School offers a full range of activities beyond the classroom. The instruction modules for the lower primary are packed with fun activities that enable pupils to learn both consciously and unconsciously. Students have the opportunity to participate in before and after school enrichment activities such as Art, Dance, Ballet, Piano, Beading, Swimming, Board Games, Good News, Spelling, Needle Work and many more.
Enrolling your child in the Lower Primary department guarantees:
- Critical thinking development.
- Exhibiting of good moral values.
- Respect for other Cultures.
- Child's safety (security).
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Lower School of Association International School, a unique school dedicated to challenging, engaging, and nurturing students of different abilities and strengths.
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our Lower School. You are welcome to visit us any time.
